  • At Shionogi & Co., Ltd., he spent eight years engaged in licensing and business development, handling five licensing deals and one M&A transaction. In addition, he spent seven years at Shionogi & Co., Ltd. and its U.S. subsidiary (New Jersey) engaged in clinical operations, project management, and regulatory strategy for treatments for neurological disorders.
  • Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., engaged in discovery and drug development research in the field of neurological disorders. During this time, he served as a visiting researcher in the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of California, San Francisco, and as a visiting professor in the Department of Molecular Neuropathology at the Niigata University Brain Research Institute.

• From 2003, he worked as a project leader on fertility and anticancer drugs at a foreign pharmaceutical company.
• In 2005, he co-founded Linical and on the opening of the Tokyo office in 2006 was appointed a director of the company.
• After serving as head of the Development division, he assumed the position of Executive Vice President, Asia and President and CEO of Taiwan in December 2020.
