- Responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership regarding the company's Medical and Scientific Operations

- Prior to joining Linical in 2024, held varied roles of increasingly visibility and responsibility at both globally recognized and small CROs which provided extensive exposure to the many unique challenges CRO’s face today
- Earlier in her career, served as a staff accountant in a public accounting firm
- Holds a degree in Accounting from Temple University

- Has held senior leadership roles across two major global CROs, three mid-sized CROs, multiple biotech and pharmaceutical companies, and nonprofit organizations, giving her a uniquely broad perspective across the clinical research landscape.
- Therapeutic expertise spans oncology, neurology, cardiovascular disease, and infectious diseases.
- Has lived and worked in several European countries and led teams across more than 30 countries worldwide, developing a deep understanding of cultural nuance and the foundations of high-trust, long-term collaboration.
- Views operational excellence not simply as a cost center, but as a strategic value engine that drives program success.

- Since joining Linical in 2010, Mr.Fumihisa has contributed to clinical development projects across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including endocrinology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology, and cardiovascular diseases, building over 13 years of industry experience.
- In February 2023, he was appointed Corporate Officer responsible for the U.S. business and currently serves as Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer of Linical Accelovance America, Inc.

Since joining the company in 2011, he has accumulated more than 13 years of experience in the central nervous system (CNS) field, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.

He has served as Executive Officer responsible for European Operations, as well as Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer of Linical Europe Holding GmbH, since January 2024.

- Dr. Nagafuji has over 30 years of experience in Japan and the U.S. at two major pharmaceutical companies and Linical Co., Ltd.
- At Linical Co., Ltd., he established a new organization providing support in areas such as gap analysis, medical writing, regulatory affairs, data management, statistical analysis, pharmacovigilance, and strategic alliances and licensing, and led it for over nine years.
- At Shionogi & Co., Ltd., he spent eight years engaged in licensing and business development, handling five licensing deals and one M&A transaction. In addition, he spent seven years at Shionogi & Co., Ltd. and its U.S. subsidiary (New Jersey) engaged in clinical operations, project management, and regulatory strategy for treatments for neurological disorders.
- Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., engaged in discovery and drug development research in the field of neurological disorders. During this time, he served as a visiting researcher in the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of California, San Francisco, and as a visiting professor in the Department of Molecular Neuropathology at the Niigata University Brain Research Institute.
- He graduated from the Department of Comprehensive Pharmaceutical Science at Hiroshima University School of Medicine and is a licensed pharmacist. He completed his master’s program at the Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Hiroshima University and was awarded a Ph.D. from the same graduate school.

- 2022 Appointed Director of Neuroscience Business Unit.
- 2025 Appointed Executive Officer and Head of the Neuroscience Business Unit (current position).
- Possesses extensive industry experience across therapeutic areas (neurology, immunology, oncology), scientific and technical fields (genetic engineering, cell biology, molecular pharmacology, clinical pharmacology), and the pharmaceutical R&D value chain (drug discovery research, patent filing, clinical development, regulatory affairs, J-NDA submissions, and product launch).
- Holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MSc), is a licensed Regulatory Pharmacist (RPh), a Certified Associate Professional Engineer (Biotechnology), and a Senior Biotechnologist certified by the Japanese Association of Biotechnology Education; member of the Japanese Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics.

- Over 5 years, has been engaged in domestic sales activities at Linical HQs (Japan) as well as global business development in collaboration with overseas subsidiaries.
- Extensive experience in MR, MSL, and clinical operations, delivering value-added solutions from the customer’s perspective.
- Holds a Bachelor of Kinki University and holds a national qualification of the pharmacist license.
- Holds a certificate of EXPART for GOOD CLINICAL PRACTICE from Japan Society of Clinical Trials and Research from 2016.

- After a stint as a CRA in Japan, in 1999 he started working on the development of immunosuppressant drugs in the Development Division of Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (now Astellas Pharma Inc.).
- From 2003, he worked as a project leader on fertility and anticancer drugs at a foreign pharmaceutical company.
- In 2005, he co-founded Linical and on the opening of the Tokyo office in 2006 was appointed a director of the company.
- After serving as head of the Development division, he assumed the position of Executive Vice President, Asia and President and CEO of Taiwan in December 2020.
- He assumed his current position in April 2026.
