Linical Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved its greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) near-term reduction targets. These targets are aligned with the Paris Agreement's goal of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
Linical’s SBTi-verified near-term targets:
Linical Co., Ltd. commits to reduce absolute scope 2 GHG emissions by 58.8% by FY2034 from a FY2023 base year. Linical Co., Ltd. also commits that 75% of its suppliers by emissions covering purchased goods and services and business travel will have science-based targets by FY2029.

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis. The SBTi develops standards, tools and guidance which allow companies to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions targets in line with what is needed to keep global heating below catastrophic levels and reach net-zero by 2050 at latest.
